The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) took action jointly against Seasilver USA, Inc. and Americaloe, Inc. to halt the fraudulent marketing of the dietary supplement Seasilver. The defendants are accused of misrepresenting Seasilver as having the ability to cure cancer, diabetes, to cause weight loss without dieting and numerous other diseases. All these claims are not supported by scientific evidence. Last month, United States Marshals seized nearly $5.3 million of product from Seasilver USA's San Diego headquarters.
