A gift may be designated for any occasion -- a birthday, anniversary, or holiday -- or used to express appreciation or love. When the gift is received, Memorial Sloan-Kettering sends a special letter of notification to the person or family indicated by the donor. The amount of the donation is not revealed. The donor also receives an acknowledgment letter.
