Research and Technology Management (RTM) is the division of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center that has overall responsibility for the administration of resources that are essential to the health of the research enterprise. These resources include: 1) proposals to external sponsors for funding to support research, 2) funds actually awarded or provided to the institution for research including grants, contracts, restricted gifts, and institutional funds, and 3) the intellectual property (e.g., inventions), and technology that results from the research conducted at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center.

  • Office of the Vice President
    The Office of the Vice President is dedicated to providing the utmost support to all members of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center research community and the public it serves.
  • Industrial Affairs
    The Office of Industrial Affairs is responsible for protecting and licensing inventions developed by Center investigators, obtaining industrial funding for laboratories, and negotiating and reviewing private consulting agreements.
  • Sponsored Projects
    The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) at Memorial Sloan-Kettering manages pre-award administration of research grants and contracts funded by federal, state, and private agencies for staff and trainees.
  • Research Administration
    The mission of Research Administration is the financial management and administrative coordination of organized research activities that are funded by both external sponsors and by Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) and that are separately budgeted and accounted for within Sloan-Kettering Institute (SKI), the research arm of MSKCC.
